This is just a brief note on the motivation behind what Tandolin does and why.

Having worked in large companies for a considerable period, it was always my wish that small businesses and individuals could have the same power at their fingertips when it comes to automation and paperless office processes.

Most of the good solutions available are mainly targeted at "The Enterprise" or large organisations and there are very few tools available to the underdog.

Tandolin was established to address this gap and after evaluating a multitude of open-source frameworks decided to settle on Joomla! I can't exactly put my finger on it but I think what sold me was the MVC (Model View Controller) approach to developing extensions for Joomla!

Taking a quick glance around you will tell you that the way people work is changing rapidly. "Business unusual" you may say; the proliferation of smartphones and internet applications puts a tremendous amount of freedom in the hands of individuals and Tandolin is just a small part of companies who want to put even more freedom in people's hands by simplifying the way once cumbersome tasks are completed by people just like you and me.

The tools the company builds and sells are the very tools that the company uses internally. This is very good for the evolution of the tools because we not only rely on feedback from our users, but we contribute to that feedback loop by being users of our products as well.

There's quite a number of half-completed software that the company has lying around. So there's a lot of product in the pipeline and hopefully when they're released they'll be just what you've been looking for. For me at least, they are, so keep visiting often :)
